Our partnerships with thousands of trucking partners across the United States have brought us to some interesting places and met some very interesting faces. We've done everything from yakking it up with truckers at restaurants and truck stops across the US to providing sponsorship at Chicago’s first NASCAR road race.

So, when Nexus Auto Transport was given the opportunity to partner with The Autopian for a unique cross-country trek, it was easy to see that it was a perfect fit.

At Nexus, our mission is to deliver top-notch car shipping services, executed by dependable drivers, at competitive prices. When Matt Hardigree of The Autopian entrusted us with the task of shipping his new Honda CR-V Hybrid from the West Coast to the East, we were determined to provide his vehicle with the professional care it deserves.

We even went further than that, providing footage from one of our partners’ trucks for a breathtaking time-lapse look at a hauler's journey from coast to coast.

From Set-Up To Booking In No Time Flat

Putting together a partner post without a genuinely transparent look at how our business operates would feel out of character. Nexus has prided itself on full transparency for over a decade, connecting thousands of customers to five-star drivers from the Pacific to the Atlantic.

That’s what made our connection with Matt so natural. He insisted on doing the legwork with us before things got off the ground, ensuring that we were the right company for the job.

He liked what he saw.

Our state-of-the-art instant car shipping calculator is a staple of ours and helps differentiate us from other transport companies in the marketplace. Matt enjoyed how easy our calculator is to use to secure quotes and move through scheduling.

We offered Matt a fair market rate of $1,755 for a door-to-door delivery from Los Angeles to New York -- a rate based on multiple factors including driver availability, supply and demand, and fuel costs.

After considering driving the car himself or working with name-brand shipping companies that had previously brought him mixed results, Matt signed up to ship with us on one of our open transport trailers.

From there, it was time to put together one heck of a ride for another one of our valued customers.

Scheduling and Shipping (With A Major Twist)

After Matt paid for his shipment in advance, our dispatch manager, James, took care of the rest. Matt could step aside as James expertly coordinated with Galpin Honda to get his CR-V on the road.

James found the right, fully insured trucking partner for the job, connecting our partner with Galpin to schedule a pickup. This was complete with a customary full walkaround inspection to note any potential scratches, dings, and dents.

As Matt noted, everything Nexus does is designed to make life easier for our clients. We handle everything from pickup to delivery, leaving no detail unchecked.

We even scheduled the delivery of Matt's CR-V a day earlier than he asked. Since there was still some paperwork to finish, our driving partner stayed flexible and arranged a pickup for the morning after.

As you can see in this Instagram reel, our driver got the CR-V loaded and on the way with trademark efficiency and professionalism.

An onboard camera chronicled Beck’s 3,000-plus-mile journey from the sunny skies of LA to the bustling streets of New York. The Autopian then edited the footage into a brilliant time-lapse.

Quicker and Better Than Expected

Our commitment to full-service shipping management allowed Matt to relax and monitor his CR-V through his preferred channels of text and email. We initially estimated a 7- or 8-day window for delivery, but our trucking partner efficiently cut down that drive time by a couple of days. James and Beck contacted Matt to ensure he was okay with an earlier drop-off.

He was glad we did, considering that he was running up against a camping trip and was worried about potential delays. Even with routine road hazards, road closures, and other potential pitfalls, Nexus got Matt his new ride with plenty of time to spare.

Nexus even brought Matt's car right to his door! Beck and James previously arranged a drop-off at a nearby Home Depot parking lot due to the narrowness of Matt's street, yet Beck ensured Matt could offload the car right in front of his place with no problems.

Matt was extremely gracious, providing Beck with both an optional (yet much appreciated) tip and a box of Girl Scout cookies. After one last thorough walkaround inspection and a sign-off, everything was settled, and Matt's upgrade from a beat-up Subaru Forester was complete.

Delivering On What We Promise

We asked Matt to be honest about every aspect of his order, and his feedback was very positive. Besides some expected dust from the road, his CR-V was in its previous condition, and he was pleased by the secure, efficient services he received for the cost-effective price he was quoted.

Matt was impressed with how James and our driver, Beck, conducted themselves that he even recommended us to a friend.

We had a blast working with The Autopian to make this all happen. We're very honored that our work met and exceeded the standards of one of the most entertaining automotive content providers out there.

Thanks again for shipping with Nexus, Matt. We're excited to work with you again.
